When to Split a hand | Blackjack Strategy Online

If you were to ask several Blackjack players from complete novices to seasoned professionals what to do when faced with the possibility of Splitting their hand in a game of Blackjack what they would do you would probably get several different answers.

Some would always Split their hand and some never would, but when it is your turn when faced with this decision you should always play the correct strategy, never go on gut instinct you should always play the correct move as, over time this will get you the lowest house edge possible.

Now if you do decide to Split your hand you need to be aware that your two cards will be separated into two brand new hands, with one of each of your Split cards being the first card of these two new hands

You will also have to place a wager on the new hand that is formed, and this has to be the same amount as your initial wager, and it is this game play rule that can often put players off splitting their hand!
